AHOY, MATEYS! SHANTY NIGHT IS BACK — AND THIS TIME, IT’S A COSTUME PARTY!

Thanks to the wonderful folks at Rochester, we’re delighted to return to one of our old stomping grounds for an evening of singing, community, and all-around shanty mischief!

Friday, October 30
7:00–9:00 PM
Rochester (Crossroads Location)

COSTUMES ARE THE NAME OF THE GAME!

Break out your pirate hats, dust off those eye patches, and dress as your favorite salty sea dog! This is a costumed event, so come ready to embrace the pirate spirit. Whether you’re a fearsome captain, a lowly deckhand, or just someone who found a suspiciously large hat in the closet, we want to see you in your finest pirate garb!

And speaking of pirates… we’re adding a little friendly competition to the evening!

THE PIRATE CALLING COMPETITION!

Think you’ve got the best “ARGH!” on the seven seas? Can you deliver a short pirate phrase that would make Blackbeard himself walk the plank? Now’s your chance to prove it!

Our very own shantyman will serve as the judge, deciding whose pirate call reigns supreme. A prize for 1st place, generously provided by the Rochester staff, is up for grabs! So warm up those pirate voices and prepare to unleash your finest nautical nonsense.

As always, this event is FREE, family-friendly, and open to the public! No experience is required, and you certainly don’t need to consider yourself a “singer” to join in. Whether you know every word to Wellerman or have never heard a shanty in your life, you are welcome aboard! We love creating an atmosphere where everyone can jump in, sing along, and bring their best sailing selves.

So gather your crew, put together your best costume, bring your singing voice (or just your enthusiasm), and prepare for a night of songs both on the water and off the shore. And don't forget to practice that pirate ARGH! — you could walk away with the prize!

We hope to see plenty of familiar faces and a whole fleet of new ones at Rochester on Friday, October 30!

FREE • FAMILY-FRIENDLY • OPEN TO EVERYONE
